THANK YOU TO THE 812 WHO TOOK PART IN 2010!
Saturday's 812 walkers on the Three Peaks Trial smashed last year's record of 640 (which itself was a record!). Thanks also to Longtown Mountain Rescue Team for marshalling the summit checkpoints, the Richard Hunt Foundation for supplying fantastic homemade cakes and 1st Llantwit Scouts for marshalling Llwynfranc Checkpoint. The total money raised for Longtown Mountain Rescue, the Elenydd Wilderness Trust and the National Trust was an amazing £4,766. Other charities benefitting from individual sponsorship include: the Richard Hunt Foundation, Help for Heroes, St Michaels Hospice, the MS Society, Make a Wish, Sparkle and Cancer Research.

This year in addition to the Red Cross Hall we have also hired the Guide Hall next door. Please note the Red Cross Hall will be used in the morning for Gold, Silver and Bronze registration and the Guide Hall will be used for Platinum registration.
On returning after the walk all routes must check-in at the Red Cross Hall where you will be given a certificate then go to the Guide Hall for refreshments.

Welcome!
Welcome to the Three Peaks Trial Blog. We'd be gratefull for your comments on the event.
Many thanks to everyone, entrants and helpers, who helped make Three Peaks Trial Challenge Walk 2009 the most successful on record. Hopefully we can repeat the success in 2010! The funds raised from the event was over £2K, a record amount. Another record was the turnout. 664 took part on the day.
Longtown Mountrain Rescue Team were a massive help doing a superb job marshalling all the mountain top checkpoints. They have agreed to assist each year which is good news. This will ensure there is maximum safety cover for walkers taking part. 50% of the funds raised will go to the LMRT for this support.
